Kohl’s to collaborate with former coach designer Reed Krakoff

Kohl’s has recently announced that it has partnered up with award-winning designer Reed Krakoff.

Reed is a three-time CFDA Award recepient and was the creative director of Coach. Before this partnership with Kohl’s, he had also been working on his eponymous line, which stopped production last March.

The partnership will produce a line of women’s wear and handbags, which will come this spring. The prices are expected to range from $15 to $129.

“The REED collection is inspired by iconic looks, with the emphasis on craftsmanship and quality synonymous with Reed Krakoff,” said Michelle Gass, Kohl’s chief merchandising and customer officer in a press release.

“Each piece is the perfect combination of function, elegance and fun, which we know will be sought-after by women across the country this spring. The collection also includes several options for women to personalize her look by quickly and simply adding an accessory. This provides even more opportunities for our customers to bring the products they love to life, in a way that works best for them.”

According to E! News, this one will be unlike Koh’s collaborations with designers like Peter Som and Thakoon an Milly, both of which were under DesignNation. This one will have a standalone title called Reed Collection.

“When Kohl’s presented me with this great opportunity, I couldn’t say no,” Reed Krakoff himself said in a press release.

“Everyday luxury embodies the best of American fashion. The ability to create great design at an incredible value is more relevant today than ever before. Great style is all about the unexpected, and Kohl’s is an amazing platform for this limited-edition collection.”

The Spring 2016 collection will be available exclusively at Kohl’s and Kohls.com.
