‘Hot convict’ Jeremy Meeks out of prison, signs modeling contract

Jeremy Meeks, a convict who has gained online popularity for being attractive, is out of prison and ready to start his modeling career.

Meeks became famous after his mug shot was posted online by the Stockton Police Department. Many were quick to point out his features, like chiseled face and blue eyes, and some even supported a #FreeJeremyMeeks campaign.

He was given nicknames like “hot convict” and “hot felon.”

Being described by police as “one of the most violent criminals in the Stockton area,” the 32-year-old was sentenced to more than two years in prison in 2015 for possession of a firearm, as well as accused of being a member of a Northside Gangster Crips.

According to a report by Sky News, Meeks has been already signed by modeling agency White Cross Management.

Meeks posted a photo on his Instagram of himself and his agent: “I want to thank my family and everybody for all your love, support and prayers,”

“I’m overwhelmed and grateful for what lies ahead. I’m ready @jimjordanphotography and @whitecrossmanagement,” he added.

Meeks is now reunited with his wife and three kids. The LA Times reported that he is currently in a transitional housing facility where he’ll have to stay for a few weeks.

“We have a lot in store regarding Jeremy’s new career,” said Jordan said in a statement. “There are a multitude of offers on the table. Jeremy is humbled and grateful and overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for him and his family.”
