Alexander Wang has recently released photos of his 2015 collaboration with his “Do Something” campaign, and it features some of the biggest names in Hollywood.
The photos, shot by photographer Steven Klein, feature celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Cara Delevigne, Kate Moss, Kristen Wiig, Rod Steward, the sisters of HAIM, and 30 others.
Wang is celebrating 10 years of success in the industry with DoSomething, one of the largest global organizations for young people and social change that has campaigns for for causes like poverty, violence, and environmental issues.
Called “Wang10,” the capsule collection features some of the designer’s best-selling pieces in the past decade. These re-issued pieces were crowd-sourced from the past runway collections.
In an interview with Yahoo! Style, Wang looks back at how his career has flourished in the past decade: “The most significant was the moment when I opened by first store [in New York]. That moment felt really special. The CFDA win was kind of a big moment, when I was really put in front of the real players — Anna [Wintour] and Diane von Furstenberg. So that was really very intimidating, but of course exciting at the same time. ”
The partnership with Do Something features four Alexander Wang x Do Something shirts and sweatshirts–fifty percent of each piece’s retail price will go to charity.
“So we felt like, let’s do a campaign and bring together people that we really respect or who have been a big part of our brand, who helped support us, who’ve given us support, been supporting us all these years. And from all different kinds of fields — music, modeling, acting, comedy, etcetera — to just bring as much awareness to this organization,” Wang added.
